Stone Cottage is located in the small hamlet of Agrilias which is on the Errisos peninsula of the Greek island of Kefalonia. Kefalonia is the largest of the 7 Ionian islands but not the busiest. The bustling and beautiful harbour village of Fiscardo is a ten minute drive away. Fiscardo has a multitude of coffee shops and restaurants. Perfect for waterside dining and  watching the world go by. Small motor boats can also be hired from Fiscardo.

The nearest beach is the tiny and picturesque Alaties which also has a pleasant taverna. By car, Alaties beach take 5 minutes.  Aghia Jerusalem is the next closest at about 7 minutes drive and also has an excellent taverna.  Other beaches in the area are Dafnoudi, Emblisi, and Focki - all within about 15 minutes by car.

The main town of Argostoli is approximately an hours drive away. However, there are supermarkets in Fiscardo and also the tiny village of Manganos which is 2 minute by car or a 7 minute walk from Stone Cottage. Despite being tiny, Manganos has a supermarket, a fruit and veg shop, 2 restaurants and an excellent ironmonger.
Due to the location, and to fully enjoy the area, a hire car is essential when staying at Stone Cottage. There are doctors surgeries in Fiscardo & nearby Vassilikades where there is also a pharmacy.
